I will start it off.

My name is Jeanette, and I work at the local hospital, my interests are all things paranormal, computers and reading. I am one of the core team members for Pathfinders and also help to run the St Helens branch, I book investigations and attend as many meetings as I can, I also do the research on the local St Helens investigations.
I will put a pic on when I get a decent one taken Laughing

Well to throw me into the equation...

Hello my name is Peter and I am an alco (no wrong script damm it *lol*)....

slightly more seriously I am someone with an almost limitless curiosity (thank god I do not have paws and a tail oh and I am hairy not furry) for the unknown... ghosts, people, history, the mind, etc...

I am also someone who is creative, friendly, quirky sense of humor, intrested in the paranormal, roleplaying, scuba diving, a bit of football and any other topic I can sound knowledgeble on *lmao*...

I am a researcher for Pathfinders and if you ever have any questions then shout and I will answer (your right that hairstyle does not suit you Wink ) or pass you to someone in the group that can help...

Oh I did mention the quirky sense of humor didn't I????

my main interest is learning about things. i like to find out what i can about whatever i can, especially if its a little on the oddside.
i spend most of my time in a dream world and as such my humour can be very abstact.
i am looking forward to paranormal investigations though! bring on the ghosties!!

Evening all.

I've had messages from some of you, Jeanette, Mark, Chris and Linda. HELLO to those of you I've not chatted to before. Hope to see you later this week Smile

My name is Lilian...Lil (but not Lilo LiL or FagAsh LiL grrrrrrr) LOL. I also live in Ashton and work as a PA for the NHS. I look like a dour Scot but I ain't as miserable as I look (honest). I have quite a warped SOH in places but also like all the old stupid jokes e.g Y did the chicken cross the road jokes..I'm old enough to know better but just a big kid at heart....If you wanna play hide n seek or knock door run away....I'm yer woman...only don't run too fast. Confused When the need arises I can be very serious.

Needless to say I'm really interested in the paranormal and am looking forward to joining the group and go to meetings. I can't wait to go on investigations. My partner and I are off to Edinburgh at the end of the month for the weekend. He's agreed to join me on a tour of Mary King's Close and also the Vaults (now that IS spooky that I've got him to say yes.....just not his thing but he knows I want to do it). Now...do I or do I not stand in the stone circle in the vaults????? Part of me really wants to test/risk it. What do you think? I think I just might try it.

Ooops sorry folks....I think I talk too much at times as well. Embarassed

Stuart went to the vaults when he went to Edinburgh a few weeks ago, so he's your person to talk to about it, he's also the groups medium. He will be at the Manchester meeting though this week and not the St Helens one, so if he's not noticed your post try sending him a PM you will find him on the forum as Zoom. Very Happy

Or see what it tells you on this link---

thanks for that info Jeanette. I think I will drop Stuart a quick PM and ask his opinion as to whether it's worth trying out standing in the stone circle and how best to prepare myself to be as open as possible to get the most of the visit. I don't want to be overally influenced by what I already know from TV (most haunted)

I don't think that Stuart will say it's a good idea to go into the circle. In fact I think he would say don't. But never having met you, yet, I don't know if you know anything about protection work.We use it on all our nvestigations and would recomend that before going into any place like that you would need your protection turned on.

I couldn't agree more with you Jeanette about protection, that's sound advice. You wouldn't go out for the day and leave all your house doors open, you never know who may just walk in - same goes when you do any type of spiritual work, if you don't protect you have no idea what may just be waiting.

If you are not sure how to protect yourself Lil, just come into the shop and I'll help you through it.

Thanks for the advice folks. I have sent Stuart a PM. I know that I need to ask my doorkeeper for protection. I've been practicing this.

I've been asking my doorkeeper, spirit guide and those who have passed who love me to help me learn, understand and protect me. I do struggle to envisage white light tho (altho I do imagine a distance round my self of a foot or so - as I imagine my personal space to be).

Have I forgot anything or am I doing it wrong?

Speak you to soon.

LiL Smile

Hi my name is Linda (SerpentRose) I am a very new member 14 04 2007.

I have long been interested in all things paranormal and would like to open myself more fully to any gifts I may have.

I have loads of questions, I have learned to be cautious over the years!. I don't normally go looking for 'events' to happen they seem to find me, mostly when something is going to happen I will dream of loved ones who have passed on and who speak to me or are just with me, or I will smell flowers in just one spott in a room even though there is nothing to account for it. I sometimes hear half whispers but I want to be sure it is not me going mad.

I would not describe myself as having any particular gift, however I can't deny there have been some odd happenings throughout the years.

Question? Does paranormal phemonina happen more strongly when the reciever has experienced shock or trauma or is that persons abiity always there but has just been hightened by shock etc?

I look forward to learning how to become more open to what I know is real, to harness my awareness for good and to experience and understand it in a more determined way.

Linda

Also, I wasn't introduced in person.

Hi, my name is Hazel,

I live in Haydock and have been here roughly 5 years, work as a "help desk administrator" at Pilkingtons, but mainly deal with subbies and invoices. "sorry no free burgers or cinema tickets here"

Since moving up north I have met some really great people who have become very close friends. In the short time I have joined this forum I feel part of a close family group and its great to be part of it.

I am really looking forward to the next investigation, it will be my first and have always dreamed what it would be like, I feel I would be very brave and fearless but sure I will prove myself wrong and be the first to scream Embarassed

Look forward to meeting you all, I'll be the 6ft shy lanky one ... you can't miss me.

Hi everyone,i'm Rosie and i'm sure you all know me by now.I normally just sit and read everyone else's comments so thought i best write a little about myself.I'm 23 and live in Prescot with my partner Andy(flash).I'm a stay at home mum with my 2 boys but sometimes it's more of a full time job! Aswell as baking and selling cakes,so if anybody need s a cake for any occassion- give me a shout! I enjoy reading, cooking and anything to do with the paranormal.
