Hi Everyone, as suggested at the last St.Helens meeting we have gathered some information that may be of interest to you about a weekend residential to get to know each other a bit better and of course have a good time.
We are planning a weekend trip to The Abbey Campsite in Llangollen,North Wales around the 13-15th July. Cost for the weekend will be £28 for 2 adults and 1 car,for any children attending it will be an extra £8 per child for the weekend. This price is for campsite fees a welcome barbeque on the Friday night and a curry night on the Saturday. Please feel free to bring along your own alcohol supplies to keep you jolly for the weekend!
Local investigations for those interested or just have a relaxing weekend. Nearby locations to investigate are Monastry located on actual campsite, local ruins, Llangollen bridge which is know to have sightings or a small drive to Gwrch Castle. Or if anybody knows of any other locations, greatly appreciated.
For those interested but dont have transport it may be possible to hire a minibus for the weekend if there is enough demand for it, but this will obviously be at an extra cost.
A great weekend to get to know each other,Please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested so that we can get the ball rolling.
Just to wet your appetite a few pics for you to look at. If interested please click post at top of page. Cheers guys.Rosie & Andy

It all looks great, I usualy have to ferry my mum around on Saturdays (shopping, visiting her brother etc etc), but I will see what I can do about going. I may have to sleep in the car though as I've no tent. _________________

Don't forget the Day Release Pass you need to apply for also Mark (sorry couln't resist..)
Hmm camping ehh. done plenty of it in the past, last time we went we had to pack up after less than 24 hours as the tent was full of "Vomit" from the kiddies.....(12 years or so ago now)
Could be up for this, but won't be able to make a decission just yet as have to see if Banshee will be fit enough for going. And will have to shut the shop for a couple of days also, hmmm. we will see.

All being well, I am hoping to be there. But, what time are people getting there on the Friday? My wife is currently working 2pm-10pm that day, and is hoping for a shift swap to a 7am-3pm, but as most people don't want to work Friday nights that could be difficult. The weekend itself though is not a problem. _________________ The living are haunting the dead!!

We (RisingForce and myself) probably won't be coming, Mike can't get the Friday off If it was the Saturday/Sunday we'd have no probs, aah well, maybe next time, I was looking forward to it aswell
I would like to go, I am free that weekend. I have been to the campsite before. Its OK( well it was for me)... it has toilets and running water... luxury campsite in my books.... although if you like your creature comforts you may find it a bit basic.
Can we go up Dynas Bran?, the hill fort?
One thing though, I will need help putting the tent up.

My going depends on 2 things
Sorting my mum out
Sorting my cat out
If I can manage both of them I'm there too, as I have already got the Friday off work.
If not I'll be sorting my house out. _________________

I can feel a flexi day coming on that particular Friday.
